Why do I have to pay VAT with my registration?
As our events are open to delegates from multiple organisations, we charge UK VAT in accordance with The VAT Act 1994, Schedule 4A, para 9A which states that services relating to admissions (inc delegate fees) to events are supplied in the country in which the event takes place.
The provision of in-person business training at an event held in the UK is also liable to VAT at 20% for delegate fees, irrespective of the establishment of the attendee. In the UK, the B2B VAT rules (exceptions) only apply to an event organised for the exclusive use of a single business customer i.e. a bespoke training event for one organisation.
There is only one exception to the rule, which is that training services provided to foreign governments for their sovereign activities (i.e. not for its business purposes) can be relieved of UK VAT (it becomes ZR) provided that confirmatory evidence from the overseas Government Dept is held. This is outlined in HMRC’s VAT Notice 741A at para 15.5
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept various payment methods, including credit/debit cards, PayPal, and bank transfers. At checkout, you will have the option to choose your preferred payment method.
What if I would like to nominate a replacement attendee?
Should you be unable to attend, a substitute delegate is welcome at no charge. You will need to write to us, requesting a replacement; sharing the person’s e-mail and contact details.
How do I access the event platform?
The platform is fully integrated with the PharmaSynergy website. Joining the PS-Platform via the website requires a code. Three weeks before the event, we will share the code and the link that will allow you to join the platform. Only authorised email addresses will be admitted to the platform.
If you haven’t received a code or missed our communication via e-mail, please contact us.
The platform allows access using a Desktop or any mobile device. We recommend using headphones and ensuring you have a stable Wi-Fi or broadband connection.
You’ll have access to all conference materials once the event concludes. Recordings and presentations will be available for six months afterward.
